Mashaun D. Simon is a freelance journalist from Atlanta, GA. He has written for a number of publications including Black Enterprise magazine and blackenterprise.com, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Atlanta Voice, Southern Voice, and the Atlanta Daily World. He has an Associate Degree from Georgia Perimeter College and is completing his Bachelors in Communications/Media Studies at Kennesaw State University.

Ayanna Hunt- Editor

Ayanna Hunt is a published writer and editor. Ayanna’s work has appeared in Upscale Magazine, Cultured Living Atlanta Magazine, The Atlanta GoodLife Magazine and Atlanta Tribune: The Magazine. Ayanna is currently working in the Communications Office for Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin.

Chris Jones- Editor

Chris Jones is a young Baptist minister from Tennessee who has a background in journalism. He has written several noted publications and news outlets like Gospel Today Magazine, Newsday, the Associated Press, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and The (Nashville) Tennessean. He currently resides in Atlanta where he is working towards a master of divinity degree at the Interdenominational Theological Center.

Lynwoodt Jenkins is a local artist with international appeal. He was recently chosen as Fulton County Arts Council’s 2007 literary artist, with residency at the Caversham Arts Center in South Africa. His publishing credits include contributions in two anthologies: Spirited, RedBone Press, 2006; and Fighting Words, Avon Books, 1998.

Rev. Dr. Kathi E. Martin is the founder and Spiritual Leader of God, Self, and Neighbor (GSN) Ministries; an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ; and also serves as Staff Pastor for Multicultural Outreach for First Metropolitan Community Church in Atlanta. Dr. Martin is also a motivational speaker with a message of hope and encouragement for persons living with chronic illnesses, and will soon be adding the title author to her list of credentials.

Tracee McDaniels is a social activist/advocate for transgender issues in and around Atlanta, GA. In 2006, the soon-to-be author from South Carolina founded Juxtaposed Center for Transformation, Inc., a social services and advocacy organization for Transgender/Gender Variant individuals.

Edward M. Garnes Jr. is an Atlanta based award-winning writer, activist, and educator with a M.A. in Counseling from Michigan State University and BA in Eng Writing from Depauw University. He is the founder of From Afros to Shelltoes (www.afrostoshelltoes.com), a community arts organization fearlessly confronting divides between elders and hip hop heads through cultural programs advocating practical strategies for social change, personal development, and emotional healing.

Elliott Sommerville is an aspiring author, Motivational Speaker, Stage Personality, Comedian and Activist. He is the founder of one of Atlanta's premiere events; Cocktails & Conversation, an Urban, Neo-Soul experience that serves as a platform for the SGL community's Poets, Lyricists and Musical artists to come and share their creative talents in an atmosphere of acceptance and appreciation.
